“Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony.”

~ Mahatma Gandhi

The Pink Paper - Happiness

Gratitude increases happiness. Do you agree? Feeling grateful every day helps us feel happier, more joyful and more aware of the good in our lives. Ahhh, this is easier said then done. Wrong! Happiness is a habit that increases with practice, we get better and better at allowing ourselves to let happiness happen and to embrace it when we practice being grateful and really appreciate what we have.

I love lists, so naturally creating a "Gratitude List" is one of the best ways I've found to jump start myself into feeling and being happier. Below is one of my short lists. Why not start a list of your own? First, write down 5 things you're the most grateful for. Next, add at least one new thing to your list every day for a month. Read your list every day and allow yourself to really feel grateful. After one month review your list and how it makes you feel. Are you more grateful? Are you happier? If you answered "No" to either of these two questions continue adding to your list until you feel more grateful and happier.
