It feels like it's been forever since my last blog post, and it has been about four months. Our website has been under construction, so I haven't been able to blog.We still have work to do, but it's coming along... slowly... but surely. We've done a lot of upgrades and added some features that we hope you like as much as we do. If you get a chance, take a minute and wander around the site. We'd love to hear your thoughts, ideas and feedback. Tell us what you like and ways we can improve. We're all ears!
One of the most exciting changes is our blog. You'll notice on either side of the blog you can now access our twitter and facebook area's as an added convenience. We will also be featuring many interesting and knowledgeable guest bloggers; each experts in their respective fields. Every week we hope to have at least one new guest blogger who will share their insights regarding health and healing with us . Some of the topics we'll learn more about are : nutrition, exercise, energy medicine, complementary therapies, supplements, politics, research, prevention...and more. Basically, any information that can help us on our healing journey will be shared on the blog. Is there something special you'd like to see covered here? Please send me an e-mail at: firstname.lastname@example.org. I'll make sure we cover it.
We've also added a Business Directory where you will find valuable information about businesses, services, products and events. Each listing has their own page where they can share photo's, links, event happenings and news.We will continue to add to the Business Directory ongoing, so check back often!
You'll notice we have new pages which are still in the process of being created. The "Prayer" page will be a place to go to request a prayer, share answered prayers and find inspiration. Do you want to know the best part? We're now a Prayer Partner with Guideposts. Guideposts magazine was founded in 1945 by Dr. Norman Vincent Peale and his wife Ruth. Dr. Peale was the author of the best-selling book, “The Power of Positive Thinking” and was the pastor of Marble Collegiate Church in New York City for more than 50 years where he gained fame for his sermons on a positive approach to living. For 54 years his weekly radio program, “The Art of Living,” was broadcast on NBC. He spoke to an average of 100 groups a year and was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by President Ronald Reagan. Guideposts has touched and continues to touch millions of lives. We are so honored to be directly connected to their powerful, inspirational prayer services. Richard V. Hopple, Guideposts CEO and President says in his message, "If you think of Guideposts as an inspirational ally that helps you connect your faith-filled values to your daily life, you would be right. We are an ever-growing family drawn together by a common belief: Through faith and the triumph of the human spirit, you can overcome obstacles and become extraordinarily successful in your life."
All the best,
